The Dual Personality Hypothesis.

I am aware that society, although very far down the evolutionary chain since the Industrial Revolution, still evolved from one celled paramecium. I also know that humans also evolved from animals who first evolved from those paramecium. However, I cannot wrap my head around the fact that people still have feeble and primitive impulses when on the other hand, so much technology and science has benefited from our modern society. It makes no sense whatsoever. From extensive research and a lot of thinking, I've come to the conclusion that people have dual personalities. First, the primitive and animalistic personality in which no thought is put into a specific impulse. Second, the evolved human who is sophisticated and has self control. I believe those polar opposite traits will forever be subconsciously interior, however, they will also be at war with each other. From this conclusion, I think that the source of all evil in the world is the internal fight between man and his animal-like impulses and when man carries out those impulses. Furthermore, I understand that it is impossible for man to evolve without giving in to his impulses once or more in his life. Thus, it is also impossible to change or be ashamed of our feeble desires, and some qualities cannot be fixed by cognitive behavioral therapy. It certainly not my job either, so that brings me relief.
